AGRICULTURE

Microcontroller

The project was aimed at developing data acquisition systems for the farmers which would lead to optimizing the balance of water, nutrients, and minerals in the soil.

In a team of three, my work was to develop the hardware capabilities through the Arduino platform and work on setting up the data acquisition system through the C programming language.

Architecture

The micro-controller was connected to a MQ-135 gas t detect/measure NH3, NOx, alcohol, Benzene, smoke, CO2, etc. DHT11 sensor and a temperature sensor was connected to measure temperature ranging from 0°C to 90°C and humidity from 20% to 90%. The data was aggregated for a detailed analysis. Further application of the project would lead to efficient use of resources for agriculture and cost savings.
